Goals:
CISC 856 relays an understanding of the principles and technique s employed in the upper layers (defined to be transport and above) of two protocol s suites: the ISO/OSI Reference Model and the U.S. Department of Defense TCP/IP Internet. Following a set of introductory review lectures on the OSI Reference Models, the transport, proposed application layer protocol standards are presented.
