UD: Women in Business
The UD Women in Business is holding its first meeting on Tuesday, September 12 at 7 p.m. in Purnell 115. The speaker is Sheryl Namoglu, who will be speaking about her career in IT development and the challenges she faced starting her own software engineering firm. There will be free food and prizes!
Sheryl Namoglu is a principal in Arris, a company based in Wayne, PA, and responsible for the Collaborative Supply Chain and Enterprise Application Integration practice. She defines key Arris offerings that help customers utilize Internet technologies to achieve real business value and competitive advantage. Sheryl works with companites to develop their Internet presence, define e-business strategies, and leverage existing systems within their e-business approach. She also provides virtual CTO/CIO services to companies to define technology strategy in support of their business goals. Sheryl believes that any engineering problem can be solved given talented, motivated engineers with the right core values. When this engineering approach is combined with a knowledge of business, the team is able to have an incredible impact on an organization.
