Define Your Own Stock Opportunity Tasks

Using the "New" button in the main window, you can define your own stock opportunity tasks in a new definition window. The definition of a stock opportunity task includes two parts: Stock symbol and Task function. Please keep in mind that UDSOM provides you a chance to define your own stock opportunity requirements. So, this software will retrieve the real-time stock information and check them with your defined requirements. If the gathered information meets your requirements, an opportunity warning will be sent to you.

Task functions can be defined with six different variables (LastTrade, Change, PrevClose, Volume, Highest price, and Lowest price), arithmetic operators, and logical operators. Please do not be scared by all these mathematical things. Just take it easy and do the definition. The software will do semantics checking of your defined formula. If there is a problem, a warning message will be sent to you.

An example of the task definition will be :

For this task, UDSOM will check the stock information for IBM in real-time. If the stock information for IBM meets the task function, i.e. the LastTrade of IBM is larger than 200 or the Highest price of IBM is larger than 200, the software will give you an opportunity message.

At last, there are two image buttons, Finish and Exit, in the bottom of the definition window. Finish is used after you finish current task definition and Exit is used in case of canceling current definition.
