Welcome
I am a graduate student at the University of Delaware,
currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science. I am working
in the area of Natural Language Processing (NLP), under the
supervision of
Dr. Vijay K. Shanker. I obtained both my BAs
(2004) and MS (2006) from University of Delaware.
I grew up and went to highschool in the beautiful town
of
Ramnicu Valcea,
Romania. My hometown is well known in
Europe for being the heart of the
1999 total solar eclipse
and for having as champions the women handball team. It is
also well known in Romania for being the place where the
national anthum was sung for the first time on June 29, 1848.
