I, Wei Chen, am a Ph.D candidate in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences, University of Delaware, and research assistant for Prof. Keith S Decker.
        Multiagent System is my major. It's a board research area.

        My special focus is Computational Organization Modeling of Multiagent Systems. The specific work is about Examining Modeling Tools, Representing Archetypical Organizations, De-constructing GPGP and Coordination Alternatives, GPGP Mechanism for Resource Constraint Problems.

        I constructed intelligent agents based on Univ. of Massachusetts' MASS (Multi Agent Survivability Simulator) system, testing the relationship among the Intelligent Agents on Resource Constraint Problem, Organizational
behaviors of multiple agents and the Coordination Mechanism for agents. From different agent's viewpoints, object view and subject view are introduced into the agent construction, generating a global image on the entire intelligent agent system for problem solving. (Because there are some internal incompleteness existing in the MASS simulator, my work for the paper about Resource Constraint Problem has to be delayed. My next work is to continue and try finish the task of it.)

        Another part of my research work is to make contribution to the current DECAF (Distributed Environment Centered Agent Framework) system, which is a key tool for agent construction.
        I design and implement the PROXY agent, for the interface between DECAF agents and Applet/Applications in general network browsers, which give DECAF potentially more popularity and compatibility without the constraint of different machine platforms.

        In the next research activity, I may switch from the MASS simulator to our DECAF system, using DECAF agent to simulate research tasks as described above.
